God is Waiting for the Prodigal Nation to Return
Many years ago, as I was studying America’s true history, I had a vision, and in that vision I saw the truth of God’s word, planted deep in the hearts of our forefathers and founding fathers, rising up to heaven as it was being applied in their lives. At the same time, I saw bolts of lightning coming out of heaven to the earth. As this was happening, buildings and eventually skyscrapers began to appear everywhere on the East Coast and move across the country from east to west.
As the vision was unfolding, I realized that God was showing me an instantaneous picture of the model He had built for the world to witness through our forefathers and founding fathers’ application of His word. This model, which grew out of the hearts of His people, was an example for the world to realize what was available through their obedience to His word.
It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered in Psalm 85 what God had shown me in the vision and also what needs to happen today, for America to return to her former glory.
Psalm 85:10 - Mercy and loving kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Psalm 85:11 - Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
The 10th and 11th verses of the 85th Psalm describe how America became the greatest nation the world has ever seen, as it was built upon the truth [principles] of God’s word, with God’s [righteousness] blessings showered down from heaven.
Today, America must hear and apply the 8th and 9th verses of the same 85th Psalm if she wants to be restored to her former glory.
Verse 8 - I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints (those in right standing with Him)—but let them not turn again to [self-confident] folly.
Verse 9 - Surely His salvation is near to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, [and is ready to be appropriated] that [the manifest presence of God, His] glory may tabernacle and abide in our land.
Then the result will again be:
Verse 10 - Mercy and loving-kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Then again:
Verse 11 - Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Verse 12 - Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness shall go before Him and shall make His footsteps a way in which to walk.
